In series three semi-finals, during the all-important clash between 101 and hypno-disc, dead metal got hypno-disc in its jaws and began to saw into it before the spinning sensation got free. Lucky for hypno-disc that dead metal failed to make an impression. The outcome of the fight came down to the judges' decision inspecting damage to bot bodywork, and hypno-disc won.
Again in series three, towards the end of rather unspectacular bout between griffon and daisy chopper, the low oblong box griffon tried to lift matilda with its arm, infuriated dead metal, who decided to get it in his grip and started sawing the arm in half untill 'cease' was called.
In an early heat of the first world championaship, razer was making a pepper pot of all torque. Matilda dead metal moved in to help, and jonathan Pearse said "alltorque - you are dead metal," as the saw came down.
